Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmi on Tuesday received the visiting Toyota chairman.
Fahmi voiced keenness on cooperating with international firms with expertise and advanced technology that are able to provide investments necessary to expand Egypt's petroleum sector.
He noted that several investment opportunities are available in the petroleum sector in Egypt, and the international firms can make use of such opportunities despite the current international financial crisis.
The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum said the meeting with Toyota president took up expected impact of the financial crisis on the petroleum industry and attracting new investments.
On his part, the Toyota president said the company was keen on exploring new activities to invest in, including oil and gas sectors.
He noted that Toyota will continue investments in Egypt in the oil sector in spite of the current financial crisis.
