The Shura Council and the People's Assembly committees are witnessing intensive activity following the beginning of the new parliamentary session.
Safwat al-Sherif, the Speaker of the Shura Council told the first session of the Shura Council that the coming stage would witness intensive parliamentary moves with the aim of carrying out President Mubarak's directives for achieving social justice and the goals stated in his speech at the beginning of the new parliamentary session.
Sherif said that the representatives of the people reject all forms of terrorism and extremism adding that intensive efforts would be exerted in the coming stage for completing the constitutional and legislative amendments needed for supporting the march of reform.
He said that the Shura Council supports all policies which are aimed at containing the crisis of high prices and mitigating the effects of global financial crisis without encumbering citizens with further burdens.
