"British tourist influx into Egypt has risen between 25-30 percent within the past four years, placing the British market on the top of the list of tourism exporting countries to Egypt," the Egyptian Minister of tourism said Tuesday11/11/2008. Zoheir Garana, leaving London for Moscow after holding talks withrepresentatives of the major travel companies in London, said the British market ranks first or second on the list of countries exporting tourism to Egypt.
Garana's talks in London focused on the world financial crisis and its possible effects on the tourist industry.
He also reassured British travel companies on the status of the Egyptian economy, saying it was strong and capable of facing this crisis.
